Chapter nine

Duke

Prez banged the gavel to start church. Everyone quieted to hear club business. They started by reviewing some of their businesses owned by the club and voted on the expansion of four of them. After ‘any other business’ Prez got down to talking about the subject that had Duke fisting his hands under the table. He was curious how this would go down with his brothers. No bitch had ever made moves against the club before and he knew that Nicole was popular with the brothers. She was always open and chatty, had no problem helping the brothers out with duties in the club house and did it all with a killer smile on her face. Plus, she fed them up good and no one would get away with messing with their ‘little chef’, as some of them called her.

“Right, you’ve all no doubt heard by now what Helen claimed along with those other sluts regarding Nicole. I just wanna tell you all what’s been found out since and the action we’re taking. The bitches have confessed that they wanted rid of Nicole and hoped the beating they gave her would keep her from talking or in one case, living. So, their story was proven to be complete bullshit. Nicole didn’t have a phone and wasn’t in contact with Riot. Not all of you were at the outhouse to see what shit they pulled so Slam is passing around his iPad now with photos of Nicole taken just after she was found. This was no ordinary bitch beat-down.” Prez stopped talking until all the brothers had seen what was done.

Duke gritted his teeth as he watched his brothers react to the photos. There was plenty of swearing and fist banging. He didn’t need to see the photos to be riled up. Those images were burned into his memory. He sat stoically as Nicole’s body was on display. He never wanted anyone to see an inch of her perfect skin, whatever condition it was in, but he silently willed every brother to back him and lay one on Helen. Those photos would definitely motivate them. He felt blood thirsty for revenge and payed little mind that she was a woman. If men had done that to Nicole no one would have hesitated in shooting the fuckers dead. He wasn’t giving them a pass for simply having a pussy. Prez filled them in on Helen’s punishment and said they were leaving the other four to the old ladies.

After Prez banged the gavel and church was over, Duke made his way to the outhouse holding Helen. He unlocked the door and strode in. He was quickly followed by Slam and Razor. Helen peered up from her huddle in the corner and cried.

“You can’t do this to me! All because of one bitch you’re gonna beat me. I don’t deserve this!”

Duke had nothing else to say to her and just let her rant and rave at him, giving nothing back. Razor had obviously heard enough.
